INFORMATION ABOUT "SUGARS" ..... As in SUPER MULTI and GLUCO MATRIX

Having been at this  Health Improving Information "thing" of mine for about
11 years, I questioned the "SUGARS"  listing of the details portion of the
websites for these two great products.  Here is the reply I received:

Mike,  Here is some info on crystalline fructose, the sweetener in Super Multi
and Gluco Matrix.  There is no sugar in either formula.

Crystalline fructose is derived from fresh fruits.  It acts as a preservative, a
medicine, and a sweetener.  Crystalline  fructose is absorbed in the gastro-
intestinal track even more slowly than regular fructose.  It elevates  blood
glucose levels only slightly, making it easily tolerated by most diabetics.

On a performance level, fructose is metabolized very slowly primarily by
the liver, but also in the kidneys, small intestine and fat tissue; it therefore
doesn't supply energy very quickly.  Fructose increases blood glucose
levels only 20 to 30 percent, and it does that slowly.

It is about 1 1/2  times  as sweet tasting as sucrose.  (So we can use less
to sweeten things).  Various tests have found it generates a markedly
less  severe glucose and insulin response than sucrose, in people
with well-tolerated diabetes.
